Absence reports are monitored by the Year Management teams and shared with personal tutors so that patterns of absence can be monitored and support put in place where necessary. Any teacher or administrator may also submit a Concern over Attendance and Engagement CoAE report in the event of concerns about persistent poor attendance and engagement via the Concerns over Attendance and Engagement online form.
Absence need not be reported where staff have received notification that a student has requested authorised absence has been granted exceptional leave, or has self-notified absence for a health or other legitimate reason. Absence for unavoidable reasons such as ill health, medical appointments, or emergencies should also be reported this way.

Medical schools are also expected to create an environment in which behaviour such as cheating is not acceptable . Working with other students to revise for exams, including working with past examination papers, and sharing general experiences of assessment is an important part of working with, and learning from, others.
